“To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived, this is to have succeeded.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson
Jeff Brooks, new Senior Vice President of Finance at Ambulatory Anesthesia Solutions

Ambulatory Anesthesia Solutions is pleased to welcome Jeff Brooks as Senior Vice President of Finance. Jeff leads the company’s finance and accounting function, with responsibility for financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, revenue recognition, cash flow visibility, and the processes and controls behind all of it.

He joins AAS with over two decades of experience in financial leadership. A Certified Public Accountant, Jeff has held senior finance roles across healthcare organizations, including surgical hospitals, physician services, and other multi-site healthcare businesses. He has seen how the numbers work in settings much like the ones our partners run every day.

More Than 25 Years in Healthcare Finance

Jeff has spent his career on the operational side of finance, not only the reporting side. Financial strategy, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management, KPI development, and financial reporting have all been part of his day-to-day work, and he has a track record of turning that work into information leadership teams can act on.

He has also spent years partnering with executive leadership and boards to improve financial performance, strengthen reporting and controls, and support strategic growth. Multi-site healthcare finance is its own discipline. Understanding how one facility performs is one thing. Understanding how twenty perform together, and why one is running differently from the rest, is another.

Leading Finance and Accounting at AAS

In his role at AAS, Jeff is focused on strengthening financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, revenue recognition, cash flow visibility, and the financial processes and controls that hold those pieces together. He partners closely with leadership and operations so decisions get made against current numbers rather than educated guesses.

Building the Infrastructure for Growth

AAS has grown steadily since 2009 and now supports more than 20 ambulatory surgery centers across Michigan and Indiana. Growth at that pace puts pressure on financial infrastructure, but Jeff’s work makes sure reporting, forecasting, and controls keep pace with the size of the business, so AAS can keep expanding without losing visibility into how it is performing.

What Strong Financial Leadership Means for Our Partners

A well-run finance function shows up in practical ways for the surgery centers we work with: accurate reporting, clean processes, and a partner whose operations are steady enough to plan around. Facilities that hand off anesthesia staffing and management are trusting AAS with a piece of their own operation, and that trust depends on the business behind the providers being run well.

The same is true for the anesthesiologists and CRNAs on our team. Sound financial footing is what allows AAS to keep scheduling, support, and staffing consistent as the company grows.

Welcome to the Team

We are glad to have Jeff on board and look forward to the discipline and perspective he brings to the leadership team. To learn more about working with AAS or joining us, see our current openings or get in touch with our team.
